Description:
A 'tawlu' is a technical term from the Han Sef elite boarding school martial arts training, sometimes also applied to traditional kung fu taolu. It refers to a prescribed set of moves which are performed to train on combat moves and tactics, and for exercise and competition performance.
Despite the Chinese name, quite a lot of Han Sef tawlu are actually karate katas, often based on Shotokan versions, but all with significant modifications, for example, to accommodate the higher stances of Han Sef.
This word would not often be used in a verb context, but if it is, it is used as an intransitive pali verb with a sense like 'perform a tawlu'.
