Common Lexeme

caj

Keywords: food, drink

Pronunciation (IPA): t͡ʃaj
Part of Speech: term noun verb
Class: pali
Forms: caj, uzre caj, synti caj, hintus caj, zilus caj
Glosses: tea

Description:

The term 'caj' refers to tea. It it's not native to Common, there having been no Old Common word for tea. It is plainly derived from the Hindi word for tea, or one of the other languages that use this form. Other than that na Hare Paryt (North India) was an early and important Globalist state and NWO ally before the Middle East War devastated the country, the true origin of this word in Common has been lost.

While ironically, we in Britain were once known for our love of tea, which has been practically forgotten because we can't get it anymore, tea is a popular beverage throughout the New World Order, where it is beloved due to the cultural impact of China, and due to the fact it is a product that lends itself well to slow long-distance shipment, so people in distant lands can obtain it affordably. Except among the elites, it has overtaken coffee as the caffeinated beverage of choice for much of the world, and even the elites like it.

There are a few varieties of tea that can be referred to:

  • synti caj - black tea
  • uzre caj - green tea
  • zilus caj - white tea
  • hintus caj - 'Indian tea', what we call chai in English

Caj can also by used as an intransitive pali verb meaning to have tea, this usage is High Common but more popular in heavier tea-drinking areas like China.
