Description:
The determiner zres is a verbal auxiliary which is used for avalent verbs. Avalent verbs are generally atmospheric verbs like rain, snow, (blow) wind that do not have any grammatical actor slots (in Common, unlike in English, a dummy subject like 'it' in a sentence like 'it rains' is not needed). Avalent verbs cannot participate in any grammatical valance changing operations and can only express concepts like cause ('the cloud seeding made it rain') or thing that is raining down ('it's raining men') periphrasitcally. It is clearly intended to be related to the word for rain, 'zresu', and often when speaking of actual rain, the main verb may be omitted and only the auxiliary used.
